Pete Deemer
VP Product Development, Yahoo!
Pete Deemer is Vice President of Product Development for Yahoo!'s US
operations. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Outbound
Media at CNET Networks and Senior Vice President of Product Management
at ZDNet. Pete was a founder of GameSpot, a Softbank-backed online games
information venture that was acquired in 1999 by ZDNet. Pete started
his career in book publishing, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the
Let's Go: Europe travel guide, and later as Publisher of the full Let's
Go series. For a number of years Pete has been a member of the adjunct
faculty at the Haas School of Business and at the Graduate School of
Journalism at UC Berkeley, teaching courses in product development and
strategy.
Pete has an undergraduate honors degree from Harvard
University.
